In Matt’s 25+ year career he has worked in, supervised and managed contracts from Melbourne to Cairns and is now focused on growing The Sebastian portfolio, where his strengths in organisational planning and service delivery management mean that you will receive best value for money.

Matt is an expert in cleaning, cleaning for hygiene and especially floor management techniques and is the technical advisor to the entire Sebastian team on all matters cleaning and service delivery.

As an early adopter of new technologies, Matt had the Sebastian team using PDAs and other performance monitoring processes, long before the industry adopted those technologies as a business as usual approach, including the use of environmentally accredited chemicals and processes, use of Microfibre and the most cutting edge equipment, that would not only be more efficient, but would produce a more effective result in a safer and more environmentally conscious method.

Matt serves the Victorian division of the Building Services Contractors Association of Australia as Vice President and has been a member of the Building Services Contractors Association International since 2009 where he has been an active member attending international peak body conferences on several occasions

Matt is a Committee Member of the Victorian Chapter of the Facilities Management Association of Australia and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University. Level 1 Coach.

Ross Mitchell

Ross has worked in the property services sector since 1989 during which time he has been responsible for Key Account Management, Sales and Marketing Activities, Operational Management, General Management and Regional business management, having started his career in Queensland in 1989, prior to returning to Victoria in 2001.

Ross has worked both Nationally and Internationally, launching business units in North Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and Victoria.

In 2012 Ross commenced work in a Procurement / Advisory role to the facilities sector, with an emphasis on the Tertiary Education sector, assisting Universities by developing scopes of works, tender documents, procurement plans and strategy. This allowed the client to receive better quality and more comprehensive and relevant tender responses which has ultimately led to contracts that have produced better outcomes in innovative ways.

In 2016 /17 Ross was engaged as the Subject Matter Expert and technical adviser to The Australian National University in developing its new cleaning contract. Through this process it was agreed by stakeholders that it will be a contract requirement that ALL cleaning be performed between 6 am and 6 pm. Before it started to become fashionable again, Ross was instrumental in promoting a “Return to the Past” to recreate Daytime Cleaning to make the best use of available natural light and reduction in Energy Consumption by having lights and heating on, only for the time cleaning was being performed.

In joining Sebastian in 2014, Ross saw in Matt and the Sebastian team, the same inherent values that he is known for and chose to join the firm where he knew that his own values would not be compromised. With his key strengths in business strategy and problem solving, assisting the key account management of major clients form part of Ross’ role.

Ross has formerly served on the Board of the Australian Building Services Association in Victoria (2001-2003) and was an observer / adviser to the Queensland division between 1998 & 2000. Ross is a Member of the Facilities Management Association of Australia and International Facilities Management Association.

Ross has served as a Board Director of Carrington Health, a not for profit Community Health Organisation based in Box Hill, since 2013.

Mel has joined the Sebastian team to be responsible for enhancing the levels of relationships with our Customers and Clients, to support our Customer Service Managers to enhance service and to bring new clients and customers to the Sebastian Experience.

Mel has worked in Customer Relationship Management across the Facilities sector for more than 15 years and brings a wealth of experience to the team.

Dianne Simpson

Dianne has worked with Sebastian for more than 16 years during which time she has implemented significant management process amendments including the implementation of the Sebastian financial management package, Triumph, our electronic time in attendance system Ezi-Tracker, our contract performance management system Cleantelligent and has managed the transition of 2 servers and resultant upgrades in the past 9 years.

Dianne worked with the Management team to develop, refine and implement the company’s accredited Integrated Management System certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and AS 4801. Dianne manages document and version control of the system.

Dianne’s role is to oversee all administrative functions and ensure that business compliance is maintained including pre-preparation of tax affairs, payroll management.

Dianne holds a Diploma of Business Management and was awarded a BSCA Award in 2013 for excellence in Operations Customer Service and Business Administration.

23 years including fifteen years heading office administration at Sebastian. Responsible for HR including Payroll, Administration, Accounts Payable and Receivable.

Chad Budh

Chad joined Sebastian in 2012, originally starting work cleaning a Target store.

Chad is a qualified Legal practitioner who chooses to work in the cut and thrust of the Cleaning and Property Services sector where he has flourished as a very good leader of teams to deliver results.

There is no cleaning task that Chad will ask another team member to perform, unless he has done it himself, which engenders enormous trust in him from his peers, leaders and customers alike.

As a Customer Service Supervisor Chad, like his counterparts, is allocated overall responsibility for the management of each contract.

Attendance on an at least fortnightly basis in the initial phase of the contract 1st 4-6 weeks and moving to every 4th week as the Cleaning team settles into its roles, is expected, as is attending all meetings with management, assisting the site team leader and undertaking ongoing training of team members, by operating in a buddy system.

In 2015 Chad was awarded the cleaning industry’s Best Contract Manager award for Victoria. Chad is supported by the remainder of the management team.

David Morales

David Morales

Customer Service Manager

David Morales has worked with the Sebastian team for more than 7 years.

David is a hands-on manager, who likes to see that his team can do what needs to be done, not just because he has asked them, but because he has shown them, trained them and continued to work with them.

David oversees all Sebastian operations in and around the CBD of Melbourne.
